What is Eco-Solvent ink ?
Eco-Solvent ink is a type of inkjet ink that uses organic solvents as a carrier, but is more environmentally friendly, has lower odor, and does not require a strong ventilation system. It is commonly labeled as "ECO-solvent ink" or "Light solvent ink."

This ink is applied to the surface of materials through inkjet printing, and forms images during the heating and drying process. It offers good adhesion, weather resistance, and low volatility.
The Core of Eco-Solvent Ink

Compared to strong solvent inks, eco-solvent ink significantly reduces the proportion of toxic solvents such as benzene, resulting in lower VOC emissions and making it more environmentally and operator-friendly. In terms of performance, it retains excellent adhesion and UV resistance for long-term outdoor use on materials like PVC, self-adhesive vinyl, car wraps, and lightbox films.
Key features include:
① Low Corrosiveness: Gentler on printheads, extending their service life;
② Moderate Drying Speed: Compatible with heated drying systems for stable color fixation;
③ Eco-Friendly: Lower VOC emissions, compliant with RoHS and REACH;
④ Cost Efficiency: No need for additional exhaust systems, keeping operating costs low;
⑤ Color Brightness: High output color, great for indoor/outdoor visuals;
⑥ Material Compatibility: Works well on coated media (e.g., coated PVC), with reduced risk of ink peeling.
The Difference Between Eco-Solvent and Solvent Ink
How to Evaluate the Quality of Eco-Solvent Ink
① Ink Purity: Balanced pH, low impurities, and less prone to sedimentation.
② Atomization and Jetting Performance: Ability to precisely control ink droplet size and drying speed.
③ Adhesion: Color remains stable after long-term exposure, doesn’t crack or fall off.
④ Color Vibrancy: No bubbles, smooth finish, vivid and clear.
⑤ Odor: Low odor and VOCs; no discomfort during office or enclosed space use.
Applications of Eco-Solvent Ink
