by liumia 15 Aug 2025 0 comments

The previous section briefly introduced some basic information about Epson printheads. In the next few posts, we’ll focus on products from the I3200 Series and F Series. Both series offer unique technical advantages and broad application possibilities, providing more options for printing equipment manufacturers and end users.

EPSON I3200 Series

The Epson I3200 series is an industrial-grade printhead line developed by Epson, featuring high performance and excellent cost-effectiveness. It is widely used in the digital printing industry.

EPSON I3200-A1

The Epson I3200-A1 is a 1-inch, 4-color entry-level inkjet printhead that offers exceptional cost performance in the sublimation and photo printing sectors. It delivers high speed, high precision, and grayscale printing capabilities, making it an ideal choice for mid- to high-end aqueous printing applications.

Key Advantages

1. High Printing Precision & Fine Image Quality: Micro Piezo technology ensures precise ink droplet placement. Minimum droplet size of 2.5pl, supports multi-level grayscale for high-resolution images and smooth gradients.

2. More Nozzles, Higher Speed: 1,200-nozzle design with high-frequency firing supports both speed and quality. For A3/A4 sublimation or photo printing output, just 2 to 4 printheads are enough to build a high-productivity system.

3. Strong Stability & Long Lifespan: Durable original build. When paired with a stable ink supply system and eco-friendly inks, lifespan can reach 12–24 months.

4. Flexible Compatibility: Supports single 4-color, dual 4-color, or single 8-color configurations. Compatible with various mainboards (e.g., HOSON, AIFA) for versatile integration.

Disadvantages

1. Compatible only with aqueous inks – Cannot be used with UV or solvent inks, as highly corrosive inks may damage the head.

2. High ink quality requirements – Low-quality inks can cause clogging, banding, or reduced lifespan.

3. High demands on ink supply system – Requires a matching negative pressure/circulation system to ensure stable ink delivery.

Applications

1. Sublimation Printing – For fabrics, mugs, puzzles, and T-shirt designs.

2. Dye Ink Printing – For photo printing and desktop printing markets.

3. Pigment Ink Printing – For labels, stationery, and art prints.

Tips

Use reliable brand aqueous inks.

Perform regular maintenance to ensure stable supply pressure.

Avoid long idle times (recommend 1 print per day or use auto-clean function).

Use original or high-quality mainboards to avoid control issues.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
