KM512 LNX 35PL & 42PL Printheads for Industrial Inkjet

by liumia 22 Dec 2025 0 comments

Konica KM512 LNX Printheads (35PL / 42PL)

The Konica KM512 LNX series printheads (35PL / 42PL) are designed specifically for solvent-based and oil-based inks. They feature 512 nozzles, 360 dpi native resolution, support up to 7.6 kHz firing frequency, and deliver stable, reliable operation.

LNX-35PL: Smaller droplet size (35 pl), suitable for high-definition image output.

LNX-42PL: Larger droplet size (42 pl), suitable for high ink coverage and high-speed printing.

These printheads are widely used in outdoor advertising, lightboxes, vehicle graphics, banners, PVC backlit films, and other industrial printing applications.

Technical Specs

Core Advantages

Stable Output & High Ink Coverage

Fixed droplet sizes (35pl / 42pl) ensure stable ink output. Ideal for large-area coverage and high-speed production.

Binary inkjet control improves image density and weather resistance.

Wide-Format & High Compatibility

512-nozzle array (2 × 256) supports wide-format printing.

Compatible with solvent and oil-based ink systems. Works reliably across a wide range of materials.

High Durability & Industrial Reliability

Robust and durable construction, suitable for long-term stable operation.

Easy to install and calibrate, supporting integration with mainstream domestic and imported equipment.

Limitations

Does not support grayscale printing, making it less suitable for ultra-fine gradient images.

Larger droplet volume may not be ideal for extremely high-detail outputs.

Higher ink consumption compared to small-droplet printheads.

Initial setup and waveform tuning are recommended under professional guidance.

Application Scenarios

Outdoor Advertising Printing

Posters, lightbox films, car stickers, knife-scraped banners, canvas, and other large-format materials.

Ideal for advertising companies and print shops that require strong weather resistance and high color saturation.

PVC / Label / Building Materials Applications

Printing on self-adhesive films, label films, coated soft films, PVC sheets, and wallpaper substrates.

Printing on architectural and decorative materials such as window films, wood-grain films, and metal composite materials.

Packaging Printing & Electrical Films

Suitable for outer layers of color boxes, corrugated packaging, and chemical-resistant films such as PET/PP.

Functional pattern output for electronic films, conductive films, and roll-to-roll circuit materials.

Usage Recommendations

Clean the ink inlet area before installation to ensure stable ink supply.

Use manufacturer-recommended inks to avoid sedimentation and nozzle clogging.

Perform waveform calibration during first-time installation, preferably with engineering support.

Carry out regular nozzle checks and cleaning to maintain stable performance.

In high-temperature or high-humidity environments, use temperature control and ink circulation systems.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
