Printhead Issues? Check Key Accessories for Common Problems
Printing Abnormalities and Possible Causes
The pattern is light in color / not saturated enough:
Check whether the ink stack has sufficient suction and whether the nozzle is sealed tightly.
Check whether the nozzle has not been sealed for a long time, causing some nozzles to dry out.
Confirm whether the nozzle operating voltage and pulse width parameters match the current accessory status.
Uneven ink discharge / broken lines in the printed pattern:
Check whether the ink sac is aged or hardened, resulting in insufficient ink flow rate.
Check whether the negative pressure of the ink supply system is stable and whether there is any ink backflow.
Check if there are bubbles or impurities in the ink that may clog the pipes.
Ink flying, stringing or pattern deviation occurs:
Check whether the data cable is aging or has poor contact.
Check whether the static discharge of the print head is normal and whether there is any static interference.
Check whether the pressure regulation of the ink system is balanced, and whether there is overpressure or insufficient suction.
Recommended Daily Check of Key Parts
Ink sac (check every 1–2 months):
Observe whether the filter screen becomes black and clogged, and whether the material becomes hard and loses pressure.
When printing is interrupted, you can first replace the new ink bag to check the ink supply status.
Ink stack (replace sealing ring every 3 months):
Check the ink absorption force regularly to see if it is normal. Use a manual ink pump to test whether it can be drawn out smoothly.
If the print head is not sealed tightly, it is recommended to replace the ink stack or sealing gasket.
Data cable and motherboard (check once a week):
Clean the dust on the socket end and check for bent pins or poor contact.
If the printhead pattern is misaligned, garbled, or ink is not produced in some areas, it may be due to signal interruption and the data cable needs to be replaced.
Negative pressure system (check before starting daily):
Observe whether there is air leakage or discontinuous ink supply.
Check whether the ink pump has weakened suction force and whether the liquid level in the negative pressure tank is abnormal.
If the ink supply is found to be unstable, it is recommended to replace the pump tube and calibrate the negative pressure value.
Common Maintenance Suggestions
When the ink absorption capacity of the ink stack decreases and the sealing becomes worse, the entire stack should be replaced.
Avoid repeated plugging and unplugging of data cables, which may cause the pins to loosen. The stability of the connectors should be checked regularly by a technician.
If UV ink is used, it is recommended to use anti-UV structural parts and corrosion-resistant seals to avoid corrosion that damages the life of accessories.
